Table Tennis project funded by Sported
Through this funding, we have brought together 4 community organisations - Go Girl Birmingham, Inclusive Sports Academy, Vision4All and Urban Heard - to play Table Tennis.
They have all received a table and lots of goodies so that they can include table tennis delivery as part of their normal weekly activity, and every 4th week, the 4 groups meet up at a central 'hub' at Auckland Hall to play competitions between each other.
The first competition was held on 1st December, with 2 more after Xmas. We welcomed around 20 young people and gave them refreshments whilst others were playing - they loved the evening together and looking forward to the next one!
The aim of the project is to encourage an interest in the sport and each group start delivering table tennis as an activity within their sessions.
